Presidente Carlos Ibáñez del Campo International Airport (PUQ), Punta Arenas
Presidente Carlos Ibanez del Campo International Airport is an airport designated for use by the public in Patagonia, Southern Chile. It is located in the city of Punta Arenas which is one of the largest tourist hotspots in the country.
It is a joint military and civilian airport with the Chilean Air Force using part of the facility. There is a paid parking area, a cargo facility and a three gate passenger terminal. There is a restaurant and several small stores in the airport.
Aerovias DAP operates flights to and from El Calafate, Porvenir, Puerto Natales, Puerto Williams and Ushuaia. LAN Airlines also flies to and from Mount Pleasant, Puerto Montt, Rio Gallegos and Santiago De Chile. Sky Airline connects the airport to Balmaceda, Concepcion, Puerto Montt and Santiago De Chile.
The airport is at an elevation of 139 feet above sea level and has three concrete/asphalt runways.
