LATAM Airlines Group Introduces Online Platform For Agents18th Nov 2014
Travel agents across Latin America that transact business with any carrier under the LATAM Airlines Group will now have a better tool to use for easy transaction with customers.
LATAM Airlines Group is the largest holding company of its kind in Latin America as a result of the merger between the former LAN Airlines and TAM Airlines in 2012.
The new platform, with its url address, www.mundolan.com, was launched last November 17, 2014. Travel agents, affiliated or not to IATA, who transact business with any carriers under the LATAM Airlines group, will be able to use the new tool with ease as it provides real-time news and online support.
It will ensure easier and smoother processes whatever online transactions the agents may perform with any of the LATAM-member airlines.
Aside from news updates and latest flight schedules, agents will also be able to get online trade advice and the most current fare assessment forms. In effect, it will become a standard point-of-reference platform for agents to access various products offered by LAN, airline contingencies and the usual fare rules.
Mundolan.com, according to Annibal Murilla, the group's Service & Commercial Operations Manager, is a newly improved communication channel especially designed for travel agents to get fast access to LATAM Airlines services and products.
She added that the new tool is designed and adopted to provide information and online transaction in an efficient manner to all agents including in Australia, one of the only two countries outside Europe and the Americas served by the LAN Airlines. New Zealand is the other country where LAN Airlines flies to, through Auckland.
Travel agents simply need to register in order to access the platform.
LAN Airlines operate seven weekly flights from Auckland to Santiago, Chile via Sydney. Santiago is the capital of Chile and the gateway to South America with extensive connections to more than 115 destinations across the continent.
