Lan Cargo

LAN Cargo is a Chilean cargo airline based in Santiago De Chile, the capital of the country. The airline is a subsidiary of LAN Airlines and operates cargo flights in South America as well as in North America. It uses Comodoro Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport in Chile and Miami International Airport as its hubs.

LAN Cargo was created from the cargo divisions of LAN Chile, Ladeco and Fast Air after LAN Airways bought Ladeco in 1994. The airline itself has been in existence in some form or another since 1929 as the freight arm of LAN Airlines services. It has partnerships with other cargo airlines in the region inclusing ABSA- Aerolinhas Brasileiras, Florida West International Airways and MasAir.

LAN Cargo has service routes to Frankfurt and Amsterdam in Europe as well as San Jose, Costa Rice in Central America. It serves three airports in the USA- Boston, Los Angeles and Miami. It has an extensive network in South America that includes destinations in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.

The LAN Cargo fleet consists of 7 aircraft with 8 orders pending. It operates 4 Boeing 767-300Fs with another ordered. It also operates 3 Boeing 77Fs with another 7 pending delivery.
