El Loa Airport (CJC), Calama
El Loa Airport is an airport designated for use by the public in the Chilean region of Antofagasta. It is near the city of Calama in El Loa Province.
The airport serves the city and the nearby area. The airport is one of the largest airports in the country and the main terminal covers 20,000 square feet. It is six kilometers from the city centre of Calama.
LAN Airlines, PAL Airlines and Sky Airline operate out of the airport and fly to destinations t It is used for chartered flights and for emergency services. Visitors to the nearby mountains and countryside use the airport as a waypoint.
The airport is at an elevation of 7543 feet above sea level and has two asphalt runways.
